Shop software · Marine & automotive
Driftlog puts every customer, vehicle, job, part and invoice on the shop computer, where your records belong. Add the phone app and the same shop is in your pocket at the dock or under the lift.

What it does
Not a generic CRM with "customers" and "appointments." It knows what an engine hour is, what a hull ID is, and why a deposit matters.
Every customer, every vessel or vehicle under them, and the full service history attached to the machine — not the person. Boats change hands; the record follows the hull.

Write the estimate, collect 50% before you order parts, convert it to an invoice when the work's done. The deposit is already credited.

Put a part on an invoice and the count drops. Bin numbers, vendor, cost and retail, and a reorder list that fills itself when something runs low.

Optional add-on
The computer app is the shop's record. Add the phone app and the same records are on every mechanic's phone — at the slip, in the yard, under the lift. It installs from a link, works on iPhone and Android, and syncs instantly both ways.
The difference
Off-the-shelf shop software makes you work the way it was built. Driftlog starts from a working base and gets changed to match how you already run. You talk to the person who writes the code — not a support queue.
Your logo, your invoice terms, labor rates, tax, deposit percentage, what the fields are called, which features are switched on. Set up before you ever log in, changed any time you ask. Fixes are never billed.
A feature your workflow needs that isn't in there — a new report, a different scheduling view, an integration with something else you use. You get a flat price before any work starts, and you decide.
What shops pay now
Most shop software charges for every person you add, so growing costs you more. Driftlog is one number whether it's you alone or you and six guys.
| Software | Monthly | Charges per user | Built for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shopmonkey | $239 – $499 | Yes | Shops with a front desk |
| DockMaster | Quote only | Not published | Marinas and dealerships |
| Jobber | $49 – $699 | Yes | General trades |
| Driftlog | From $89 flat | No | One- to eight-person repair shops |
Monthly list pricing from each company's own pricing page, checked October 2026, and subject to change. Shopmonkey and Jobber both include a set number of users and charge for each one beyond that. DockMaster does not publish pricing. Driftlog's $89 is the monthly rate; setup is a one-time $199.

Next step
Tell me how you handle invoicing now and what's driving you crazy about it. If Driftlog fits, I'll set up a working version with your shop's details so you can try it on real jobs before you pay for anything.
